花柳流の若手舞踊家として、
主宰する「基の会」では花柳流の作品を主とした
古典の研鑽を重ね、また創作やこれからの
日本舞踊を見つめた新作なども手がける。
それぞれに高い評価を受け数々の賞を受けるなど
めざましい活躍を続けている。
外務省・文化庁や国際交流基金等の派遣による
国内外での舞踊活動、NHK等のTV出演、
他ジャンルの舞踊家・ダンサーとのジョイント、
また母校・日本大学芸術学部演劇学科で
後進の指導にあたる等、多彩な活動を行っている。

As a young Buyo performer in Hanayagi Style, Motoi studies classics in "Motoi No Kai".
He also works for new and creative projects which are considered Nihon Buyo in future.
Those projects win many prizes and it's gotten great reviews.
He actives in various fields such as performing Buyo in domestic and international by dispatching of Agency for Cultural Affairs, TV appearance in NHK,
collaborating with Buyo performer or dancers in other genre, and instructing in Nihon University College of Art, Department of Theater.
